Social Media Marketing Imagination for 2012: The First-Rate, the Awful and the Unattractive

Here are my predictions for the top three social media marketing trends for 2012: the good, the bad and the ugly.
- The first-rate: Visionary brands will realize that social is not only about the new medium, but also about new and more meaningful messages. So, instead of trying to spread inside-out brand-first positioning messages, they will search for an outside-in community-first “social heartbeat” that connects the brand values with the passions shared by the community members. Expect to see a few more strategic integrated influencer marketing programs like Pepsi Refresh Project, but not (yet) in Asia.
- The awful:

Google Plus vs. Facebook

The unofficial poll, in which almost 2,000 people participated, gave voters the following three options to choose from:
1. Google+ Will Dethrone Facebook
2. Google+ Will Lose to Facebook
3. Google+ Will Coexist with Facebook, Just Like Coke and Pepsi

Whole NIGHT with GOOGLE Plus (No time for Girl Friend)

I thought I'd type up some notes after an Night of using Google's new social network, Google Plus. This is a really big deal, a super ambitious effort involving scores of engineers over months of near total secrecy. (Though some helpful sources and I scooped the core Circles part of all this three months ago.) The service is really, really well done. Will it be good enough? I have no idea, but I have felt drawn to keep using it all night long.

Entrepreneur & 2012

Types of Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur’ is a pretty broad, and often abused, word. How do you define it and what do you need to do to call yourself one? I don’t have the answer, but I do know that there are a lot of different types of entrepreneurs. Here are a few typical entrepreneurs you might meet. Which one are you?
The Manager Entrepreneur

This is the type of person who becomes involved with startups once they have received a fair bit of funding and are just beyond the first high-risk stage. These people often call themselves entrepreneurs because they are close to entrepreneurs and have worked at startups. I think it is safe to say these entrepreneurs are more like managers then entrepreneurs and they might be very good at it too.

The Setup For Failure Entrepreneur

This is the kind of entrepreneur that has failure written all over everything he does. All he does is complain, and when he takes on a project it is too ambitious and destined to fail even before he starts. he never gives up, of course, but you wish he would.

Apple Interview Questions & Takeaways for Landing Great Design Jobs

Do you want to work for Apple? Here are some value added tips for Apple interviews that apply to any job search and interview process.
Keep in mind that great design jobs are far and few between, and competition is tough. In a dog-eat-dog world, only the strong endure the rejection and criticism inherent in the interview process, and it's the downright tough that persevere to attain, eventually, the job of their dreams. These pointers will help you run the gauntlet of interviews and survive to become an employee. You may not land a gig next to Steve Jobs, but more importantly, you will have a job.

Phone Plan Brokers- A better option for business

Mobile phone plans can be a real nuisance for businesses. They can be complex, nitpicking, and almost incomprehensible in terms of charges and services. Few people in business have either the time or the inclination to wade laboriously through endless details. Nor should they have to. It’s bad business practice, and these plans can be ridiculously expensive in terms of administration, particularly if you’ve got multiple business mobile phones and systems tied in to them. The solution to this situation is to use phone plan brokers to get the best deals at the best rates.

Steve Jobs " IDEA to INNOVATION" "1955 to Today"

Steven Paul Jobs, 56, died Wednesday at his home with his family. The co-founder and, until last August, CEO of Apple Inc was the most celebrated person in technology and business on the planet. No one will take issue with the official Apple statement that “The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”
It had taken a while for the world to realize what an amazing treasure Steve Jobs was. But Jobs knew it all along. That was part of what was so unusual about him. From at least the time he was a teenager, Jobs had a freakish chutzpah. At age 13, he called up the head of HP and cajoled him into giving Jobs free computer chips. It was part of a lifelong pattern of setting and fulfilling astronomical standards. Throughout his career, he was fearless in his demands. He kicked aside the hoops that everyone else had to negotiate and straightforwardly and brazenly pursued what he wanted. When he got what he wanted — something that occurred with astonishing frequency — he accepted it as his birthright.
